Cryptocurrency and cybercrime will be the main topics of discussion at Interpol's conference in Delhi, with dark web criminals moving to the crypto ecosystem and the prevalence of crypto-crime reaching an all-time high and getting worse every day. Interpol is determined to combat this new financial scourge.

Interpol Secretary General Jurgen Stocker said he fears state-developed cyber weapons will be on the dark web "within a few years. The topic of cyberwarfare has long been a concern for governments around the world, but it has gained new attention in the Russia-Ukraine war. According to the World Economic Forum's Global Cybersecurity Outlook report, the number of global cyber attacks more than doubled in 2021.

Interpol will expand Project Pandora to Southeast Asia next year, including countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines, to help combat biochemical threats emerging from the dark web.
